Welcome to AHG CA 2517!
We strive to build women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country. We do this through regular troop meetings, service projects, fellowship, and campouts.
Troop CA 2517 meets on Monday evenings two times a month throughout the school year. Each month we plan one additional service project or special event which the whole family is often welcome to attend.
On a normal Troop meeting night, we will begin with a brief assembly attended by all parents and girls in the Troop. This will include flag ceremonies, announcements, periodic recognition, and a short devotional. Afterwards, we typically break into Units for girls to work on the activities their particular age group is focusing on, often in the context of completing the requirements for one of AHG's many Badges. Registered parents are asked to stay on the premises to help in specific units, help with upcoming events or service projects, and develop relationships with other families. Unregistered parents are asked to remain in the sanctuary to wait for the girls to complete their group time. To conclude the night we all come back together for closing flag ceremonies and prayer. We occasionally take field trips, either by unit or whole troop, to fulfill badge requirements.
